Chinese automakers have been making strong efforts to expand internationally, not only showcasing their capabilities at the IAA Mobility 2023 in Germany but also actively entering the Southeast Asian market. Within the supply chain for Taiwanese automotive companies, there are several Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers that provide components to leading Chinese automakers like BYD. These suppliers have revealed that, although Chinese automakers are actively pursuing overseas markets, their production facilities are primarily located in China, and there are no immediate plans to set up new production capacity in Europe or Southeast Asia to follow their customers.
