In response to the continuous increase in LCD TV panel prices since 2023, end-user companies such as Samsung Electronics have reduced their panel procurement volumes to increase their price negotiation power. This is also an attempt to reduce their reliance on Chinese LCD suppliers. It’s expected that LG Display (LGD), along with panel suppliers in Taiwan and Japan, will indirectly benefit from this shift.
