Taiwan’s Ministry of Digital Affairs is commencing a project to strengthen domestic communication networks in case of emergencies or wartime and is collaborating with partners including SES, a global top-3 satellite operator, in deploying the necessary infrastructure and OneWeb, a UK-based low earth orbit (LEO) satellite company. Together, they are aiming to achieve comprehensive network coverage of Taiwan by the conclusion of 2023.
