A recent global survey by telecom equipment vendor Ericsson found that many people are disappointed with 5G because no killer applications are in sight, which, however, can be attributed to the fact that current 5G development is just at its first generation with limited functionality, according to Yeali S Sun, a commissioner at Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC).
