The start of the COVID-19 outbreak in early 2020 triggered a rush in the thermal imaging and infrared (IR) temperature measurement industries, resulting in the emergence of many IR thermal sensor companies, including traditional microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) pressure sensor manufacturers and emerging MEMS gas sensor companies.
