With the passing of the CHIPS and Science Act, the US Department of Defense has kick-started its ‘Microelectronics Commons’, according to a press release dated November 4 from the Department of Defense. It is described as a national network that will “create direct pathways to commercialization for US microelectronics researchers and designers.”
