Global tech companies are actively expanding their manufacturing bases to Southeast Asian countries. Companies, such as Samsung, Chimei, Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE), YFC-BonEagle, are expanding to Vietnam and the Philippines respectively. The Philippines’ economic outlook looks rosy, with the gross domestic product (GDP) rising 7.6% in the third quarter of 2022. Despite geopolitical tension, Singapore is pushing for “open, inclusive” tech supply chains.
