As the concept of smart cities gains traction, Foxconn has accelerated its efforts in promoting smart city platforms. Following the recent announcement of a collaboration plan with Sonora, during the 2025 Smart City Summit and Expo on March 18, Taipei Mayor Wan-An Chiang announced that the city will work closely with Foxconn on five major applications, aiming to co-create a future metropolis for Taipei residents.
