Verizon announced the formation of the 6G Innovation Forum, a collaborative group aimed at advancing the development of 6G wireless technologies. The forum includes major network vendors Ericsson, Samsung Electronics, and Nokia, as well as device and chipset companies Meta and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. Its goal is to define 6G use cases, devices, and network technologies while establishing a diversified and interoperable ecosystem.
