China’s notebook manufacturing industry is rising rapidly just as Taiwan’s ODMs retreat from notebook assembly, but Wistron chairman Simon Lin said the shift also reflects new opportunities as companies pivot toward AI. Lin said each era has its own mission, and many companies would rather move notebook resources into other areas.
