As Washington ramps up restrictions on exporting advanced AI chips to China, Chinese tech giants are accelerating efforts to reduce reliance on foreign hardware. Ant Group emerged as a key player in this movement, announcing it has trained a 300-billion-parameter mixture-of-experts (MoE) large language model (LLM) using domestically produced chips from Huawei and Alibaba.
