Mitsubishi Electric has announced that silicon power semiconductor chips produced at its Fukuyama factory in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, have begun supplying module assembly lines, with power modules made from these chips starting delivery at the end of September 2024.

Taiwan, aligning with global energy targets, has revised its goals to ensure renewable energy accounts for 15% of the country’s supply by 2025, increasing to 20% by 2026.

As Microsoft transitions from a software giant to a cloud leader, with its cloud business now accounting for 40% of its revenue, a senior executive emphasized the company’s expanding AI partnerships. The executive clarified that Microsoft’s custom chip development serves as a reference model for customers rather than positioning the company as a competitor to chip manufacturers.
