Vivo develops image chips to combat freezing mobile phone market

Chinese mobile phone maker Vivo recently announced a new generation of self-developed image chips. Said image chip uses the AI-ISP architecture, bringing the low latency and high-performance traits of traditional ISPs to the AI instant processing architecture. However, Vivo has yet to announce an official name for the image chip. Rumor has it that Vivo’s X90 series could be equipped with this image chip.

Samsung reportedly to reduce smartphone production proportion in Vietnam to 40%

Localized and diverse production bases have become an inevitable approach for manufacturers to reduce geopolitical risks or supply chain disruption. Samsung also actively diversifies its smartphone production in multiple countries, such as Vietnam, India, Brazil, Indonesia, and Turkey. Vietnam is currently the biggest production base for Samsung’s phones.
