SEA roundup: Malaysia’s semiconductor industry projected to grow 8-10% in 2022

The Malaysian semiconductor industry is projected to increase by 8-10% in 2022, according to the Malaysia Semiconductor Industry Association (MSIA). Vietnam exports recorded double-digit growth in the first nine months of 2022, with export value at an increase of 17.2 percent to US$282 billion. However, both countries expect a weaker 2023, which forecasts the slowdown of the electronics industry and the US economy. The automotive industry remains strong in Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia next year.

Leaders in semiconductor in 2030 (8): South Korea’s role in Chip 4 alliance
