沃格光电Mini/Micro LED玻璃基板项目预计明年7月试产

近年来,沃格光电重点围绕“玻璃基”新材料技术开发及商用进行了一系列提前规划,以传统玻璃精加工业务为基石,重点布局Mini/Micro LED背光与半导体封测业务。

今年2月,沃格光电为Mini/Micro LED玻璃基板生产项目组建了江西德虹显示技术有限公司,建设“玻璃基材的Mini/Micro LED基板生产项目”。

据悉,项目建设内容为拟建6万平方米厂房(其中1万平方米仓库),进行装修,完善配套设施,购置机器设备等,项目完全达产的建设周期约为24个月,达产年将实现生产玻璃基材的Mini/Micro LED基板总产能 5,240,000 ㎡/Y。

9月16日,沃格光电Mini/Micro LED玻璃基板生产项目正式开工建设。项目选址在江西省新余市高新技术园区,厂房建设面积达60000平方米(含10000平方米仓库用地)。

该项目重大建设节点主要包括主厂房封顶、核心设备搬入和产品试产量产等。其中已知第一期建设已包括占近半厂房面积的百级及千级洁净厂房工程,厂房预计于次年1月16日封顶,总工程预计在6月30日前完成。

产品生产方面,沃格光电预计将在2023年7月陆续进行小批量试产,并于8月实现玻璃基板量产。

项目建成后,将进一步扩大沃格光电的显示产业规模、完善沃格在精密元器件的结构布局,同时吸引及带动相关显示产业链上下游配套企业共同发展进步,为点亮美好显示未来创造更多可能性。(来源:沃格光电)

传富采打入Meta MiniLED VR头显供应链

Meta近日正式发布旗舰虚拟实境(VR)头戴装置“Quest Pro”,市场传出LED产业龙头富采以MiniLED背光打入供应链。富采表示不对单一客户评论,但MiniLED的技术获得多家世界大厂肯定,在VR相关领域去年开始就已小量出货,今年出货量缓步成长,未来市场前景看好。

根据Meta公布的新产品规格,Meta Quest Pro定位较既有的Quest 2更为高阶,主要锁定专业、企业客群,具备全彩混合实境(MR)。Meta新款Quest Pro也是首次导入使用MiniLED,富采强调,该公司在MiniLED的技术及产品已获许多国际大厂的肯定,目前确实供货不只一家厂商。

同时,富采指出,其实去年该公司的MiniLED背光产品就开始小量供货给国际大厂的VR装置,相对去年MiniLED背光在VR装置的出货量,今年全球LED整体市况虽然不佳,在VR领域的MiniLED背光产品出货仍维持成长表现。

对于未来的头戴装置的产业发展趋势,富采指出,类似早期手机,目前的VR头戴装置仍属初期产品,包括电池、散热、存储器等相关配套技术也持续精进中,。

富采表示,以目前头戴装置的大小,MiniLED背光技术已足够因应,但预期未来进入元宇宙时代,相关装置将会越来越小,届时,将会由Micro LED技术主导。(来源:台湾经济日报)
