Amid the global trend toward automotive electrification and smartification, the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) has commissioned the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) to spearhead a Taiwan Pavilion at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) and Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show, aiming to support Taiwan auto parts suppliers in securing orders in major US trade shows. A total of 270 Taiwanese companies showcased their products, marking the second-largest delegation at the joint events.

South Korean startup Tesollo Inc. has successfully developed a multi-joint robotic gripper with high dexterity and direct force output that closely replicates human hand movements. The company recently validated its technology at Kia Motors’ manufacturing site and is collaborating with Taiwan’s Techman Robot Inc. to launch automation solutions that align with the growing trend of humanoid collaborative robots.

Driven by growing demand for AI servers, Catcher Technology has joined the competitive server chassis components arena. Chairman Hung Shui-shu said the server segment is still in its early stages, gaining traction only in recent months with entirely new customers. If the company successfully penetrates this market, Hung expects it to contribute significantly to future revenue. Production will leverage Catcher’s Taiwan and Suqian, China plants, though Hung did not specify which segment of the server chassis business the company is targeting.
