CoreWeave, a cloud computing services provider, disclosed in a US Securities and Exchange Commission filing on September 25 that it has entered into a new order form with Meta Platforms under their existing Master Services Agreement. The deal commits Meta to pay up to US$14.2 billion through December 2031 for reserved cloud computing capacity, with the option to expand through 2032. The agreement positions CoreWeave as a key infrastructure partner for Meta, providing access to Nvidia’s latest GB300 systems to support AI workloads and Meta’s growing technology initiatives.

The ongoing negotiations between Taiwan and the US for a trade agreement have been hindered by unresolved differences over semiconductors, slowing progress despite several rounds of talks. Taiwan’s export sector, heavily reliant on semiconductors, faces uncertainty as Washington’s tariff policies remain unsettled.

Sharp plans to decide on transferring large-size LCD panel technology to India by the end of 2025, CEO Masahiro Okitsu said, signaling potential expansion of the country’s display manufacturing capabilities.

TSMC disclosed in its 2024 sustainability report that it paid a total of NT$202 billion (US$6.63 billion) in taxes worldwide, with Taiwan accounting for nearly 95% of the amount.
