Carmakers squeezed as profits plunge 55%, China bucks the trend

According to a new report from Ernst & Young (EY), the world’s top 19 automakers saw their total revenue decline by just 1% in the second quarter of 2025—but their combined profits plummeted by a staggering 55%. Clevo adapts ‘blue ocean’ strategy to drive sequential notebook shipment growth in 2H25

Although the notebook market is expected to underperform during the traditional peak season in the second half of 2025, this has not deterred Clevo’s hopes for sequential quarterly growth with its blue ocean strategy. Taiwan seeks international partnerships for quantum-HPC integration project

The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) is planning to implement a quantum computing mainframe construction project in 2026, aiming to integrate quantum computing mainframes with high-performance computing (HPC) platforms to drive transformation and upgrades in key industries. According to NSTC minister Cheng-wen Wu, the project will leverage Taiwan’s key advantage in its semiconductor industry to attract partners from advanced countries in the field, and will include procurement from partners willing to collaborate.
