According to Bloomberg, Electronic Product and Technology, and Proactive Investors, the Canadian government has announced a CAD120 million (US$88.2 million) investment in CMC Microsystems to strengthen the country’s semiconductor industry. This five-year funding is part of a larger CAD$220 million project backed by the Strategic Innovation Fund.
