Taiwan makers challenged in SiC applications for EV, industrial control

It has become an irreversible trend to incorporate third-generation semiconductor materials such as silicon carbide (SiC) into power devices and modules for electric vehicles (EV). And Taiwan III-V semiconductor suppliers can leverage the manufacturing prowess of system device makers to deepen related applications, but will face three stages of challenges in this regard, according to an expert at Electronic and Optoelectronic System Research Laboratories (EOSRL) under the government-funded Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI).

QIC Inside Investor Relation Series (11): How to build an effective IR team?

From the previous Inside Investor Relations article: “How should an IRO work with the C-suite management?” we went through IRO’s role within the organization. In this volume, we would like to introduce how to form an effective IR team with examples of Taiwan semiconductor firms. For most Taiwan small- and mid-cap companies, the spokesperson, besides his/her daily responsibility, is also a part-time IRO. When IR activities increase along with company’s improving fundamental, it is necessary to assemble an IR team to communicate effectively with the capital market.
