The rise of global AI applications has driven increased demand for power ICs, with power management IC (PMIC) design company uPI Semiconductor reporting steady demand for integrated Power Stage and server products. The company is targeting mid- to long-term gross margins of 40% while focusing on total solution offerings, including CPU and GPU Vcore power controllers, Power Stage components, and converters that support three fast-growing sectors: end-device computing, edge server computing, and cloud computing centers.

South Korea’s two largest memory chipmakers, SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics, are reportedly finalizing supply agreements with Nvidia for next-generation high-bandwidth memory (HBM4), according to ETNews and The Seoul Economic Daily.
