Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs has approved a NT$250 million (US$8.2 million) project spearheaded by Aewin Technologies, Kenmec Mechanical Engineering, and I-Chiun Precision Industry to advance energy-efficient high-performance computing (HPC) solutions for AI. Government documents show that Aewin and I-Chiun have already adopted technology transfers enabling chip-cooling performance that outstrips global standards, securing a foothold in the supply chain of leading US AI server manufacturers.

Tesla has announced plans to establish a new R&D center in Kopenick, Berlin, Germany. Positioned between Tesla’s existing Gigafactory in Grunheide, Brandenburg, and central Berlin, the facility is expected to bolster the company’s vehicle development activities in Europe.

Czech Minister for Science, Research and Innovation Marek Ženíšek recently visited Taiwan to meet with National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) minister Cheng-wen Wu. In addition to in-depth discussions on their complementary strengths in laser technology, Wu also highlighted Taiwan’s government initiatives in space and defense-related industries, with the hope of expanding collaboration with other countries.
