According to the latest Canalys research, Mainland China’s smartphone market experienced a 10% year-on-year growth in the second quarter of 2024, with shipments exceeding 70 million units, while Apple declined by 4%. For the first time, local vendors dominated the top five positions, driven by the innovative use of generative AI (GenAI) to compete in the high-end segment.
