China’s fast-growing multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) market will see the country account for 43.5% of global MLCC demand by 2025, making it the largest, according to the Chinese market research firm JW Insights. The research estimates that more than 250 billion MLCCs will be used in China, a rise from the 150 billion in 2021. Notably, in China the number of MLCCs deployed in new-energy vehicles will surpass that of internal-combustion vehicles this year, reaching 90 billion units. By 2025, according to the same estimation, the number of MLCCs for new-energy vehicles will reach 330 billion worldwide, surpassing the number for traditional autos.
