European Chips Act has wrong priorities, according to leading chipmakers in Europe

The European Chips Act proposed by the European Commission in February 2022 has yet to be adopted, but criticisms toward the act from within Europe’s semiconductor industry have never ceased. In a recent report published by the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine (FAZ), industry leaders from Siemens to Infineon have again called for the adjustment and expansion of the EUR43 billion legislation.
