Foxconn Technology Group (Hon Hai) has shown strong ambition to deepen its EV deployment by building a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cell factory in Kaohsiung, but it will face strong competition in the global LFP market, as existing battery makers are continuing their production expansions.
