Panasonic officially ended its manufacturing and sales of glasses-type virtual reality (VR) head-mounted devices in December 2025, transferring the MeganeX product business to Tokyo-based VR manufacturer Shiftall. From January 2026, Shiftall is responsible for the development, sales, and support of the MeganeX line.
