The Malaysian semiconductor industry is projected to increase by 8-10% in 2022, according to the Malaysia Semiconductor Industry Association (MSIA). Vietnam exports recorded double-digit growth in the first nine months of 2022, with export value at an increase of 17.2 percent to US$282 billion. However, both countries expect a weaker 2023, which forecasts the slowdown of the electronics industry and the US economy. The automotive industry remains strong in Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia next year.
