China’s top-2 foundries SMIC and Hua Hong Semiconductor have shown mixed views on whether to raise foundry quotes to offset cost increases, while a new wave of price hikes seems to be looming following TSMC’s plans to increase quotes for both advanced and mature processes in 2023 and Samsung Electronics reportedly also to adjust upward service charges in the second half of 2022, according to industry sources.
