The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) released a survey on May 28, 2025, revealing that the proportion of enterprises expecting an average increase of over 20% in US tariffs within the next three years has tripled compared to the end of 2024. The survey also found that companies have increased their assessment of their own “tariff cost pass-through capability.” Those willing to “fully absorb costs” have decreased, indicating improved market pricing and supply chain adaptability.
