After a prolonged slump, Taiwan’s machinery industry is showing signs of recovery, with export growth recorded for the fourth consecutive month. According to the latest data from the Taiwan Machine Tool and Accessory Builders’ Association, exports in May 2025 reached US$2.779 billion, reflecting an 8.9% year-over-year increase. This brings the cumulative total for the first five months of 2025 to US$12.19 billion, marking a 5.7% rise compared to the previous year.
