US President Donald Trump has stated that he informed TSMC that if they do not fulfill their investment commitments in the US and fail to establish manufacturing facilities there, they will face a 100% tax. The Office of Trade Negotiations under Taiwan’s Executive Yuan stated that corporate investment commitments to the US will be maintained as long as they align with Taiwan’s national interests.
