In a bid to counter the rising influence of Arm in the PC and server processor markets, Intel and AMD have joined forces to establish the x86 Ecosystem Advisory Group. Announced at Lenovo’s Tech World, this coalition, including tech giants like Broadcom, Dell, Google, HPE, HP, Meta, Microsoft, Oracle, and Red Hat, aims to bolster compatibility, predictability, and coherence across x86 products.
