Alphabet Inc. has introduced the Agent Payments Protocol (AP2), an AI agent payment system designed to enable seamless transaction flows between AI agents and merchants. The new protocol is supported by leading financial firms, including American Express, Mastercard, and PayPal, as well as key players from China’s financial sector.
