South Korea taps nuclear power plants for hydrogen production and decarbonization

Facing rapid growth in renewable energy, increased grid dispatch pressures, and decarbonization demands from hard-to-electrify industries like refining and petrochemicals, South Korea is combining existing nuclear power plants with water electrolysis technology to achieve a low-carbon, stable, and large-scale hydrogen supply. Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) has moved beyond basic research and, with government support, has begun verification projects.

BizLink to acquire XFS Communications, expand optical interconnect business

BizLink said on December 1 that it signed a definitive agreement to acquire Shenzhen-based XFS Communications, aiming to expand its optical interconnect capabilities as demand for high-speed links in AI data centers accelerates. Foxconn’s FII injects US$283 million into Tianjin to strengthen AI supply chain
