Korean, Chinese battery makers deploying CTP technologies

Japan-based Daikin is planning to develop chips for its home appliances in-house and its own-brand air conditioning products will begin adopting the in-house developed chips in 2025 at the earliest. China-based Leapmotor became the fourth local automaking startup to be listed on Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKSE) at the end of September and China’s second-tier automakers such as NETA and Leapmotor have begun catching up to first-tier automakers such as Xpeng, NIO and Li Auto in terms of auto sales. Battery makers CATL, LG Energy Solution (LGES), and Samsung SDI have all recently unveiled their latest battery technology that can help improve battery cells and modules.

CHT transforming into ICT system integration provider, eyeing international market

Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) is on track to gradually transform itself from a telecom services provider into an ICT system integration supplier by leveraging the growingly mature AI, 5GT, big data analysis and cloud technologies, looking to break the limitations of regionalized telecom operations through the new role and cooperate with partners to jointly develop international markets, according to Jay Huang, deputy managing director at CHT’s International Business Group.
