US Chips Act, Inflation Reduction Act boosting FDI interests from Taiwan

The White House has published a statement detailing the executive order signed by US president Joe Biden to implement the semiconductor funding in the bipartisan Chips and Science Act of 2022. Combined with the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) signed on August 16, as well as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act signed in 2021, the technology transition of the US is attracting Taiwanese companies to double down their investments in the Americas.

As Alibaba declares new RISC-V milestone, is automotive MCU the next battleground?
