Qualcomm’s diversification strategy: back to datacenter?

Is Qualcomm’s return to the data center market a part of its diversification strategy? According to the latest report from Bloomberg, the company seems to be contemplating it. Bloomberg reported on August 18 that Qualcomm, after its US$1.4 billion acquisition of Nuvia last year, has been seeking customers for a product derived from the purchase, with Amazon Web Services (AWS) reportedly interested.

PlayNitride to become major microLED chips producer in next 2-3 years, says chairman

PlayNitride is listed on the Taiwan Innovation Board of the Taiwan Stock Exchange on August 18, becoming the first one to be listed on the board. The company took the initiative to start volume production of microLED chips and panels among competitors and will secure the globally exclusive status by maintaining such volume production over the next 2-3 years, according to the company founder, chairman, and CEO Charles Li.
